Jane, I'm blown away by your story. You've bravely challenged some deeply ingrained societal beliefs about forgiveness and demonstrated that true compassion extends beyond the victim. It's been a truly eye-opening and inspiring read for me. Thank you so much!

I somehow naturally became like who you are now, except that I used to have a hard time forgiving myself. Many years ago, I took an energy-healing course. When the master told the participants to forgive one person during an exercise, I was the only one who didn't couldn't find one to forgive even though I had a terrible childhood and traumas in life.

However, I learned to empathize with those who did not seem nice to me and was rewarded for it. One morning, I sent love to a boss who I felt didn't like me at all. My master said that people who are not nice might not be well. I needed to send them love and visualize that they were happy and loved. So, I did that with that boss, seeing him happy at work and home. When I went to work that day, my boss said good morning to me for the first time, and our relationship became less cold.
