This is beautiful. On a recent motorcycle ride, an expansive bald eagle swooped in front of me and husband to feast on an animal killed in the road. It landed then flew back up into the trees. I felt for the dead animal, but stared in awe at the majestic bird that once again flourishing in the Northeast. In one fell swoop, the eagle could have ended our ride. I felt honored to have seen its power and beauty.

This is such an incredible experience… it’s like something in us knows to have reverence for the dead but understanding the need for another being to survive… to witness the Eagle so close like that is truly a gift. Thank you for sharing this.

Happy that I could. A couple days ago, my friend had the same experience with an eagle in her car. The eagle swooped down into the road to eat, then soared off.

The eagle brings so many signs to honor those creatures who live among us.
