Such a delightful read, Jesse! The part about the 'Stress Container' really resonated with me. I think we all have that container, and it's easy to keep piling things in without ever taking anything out.
I have yearned to revisit Scotland forever. I had a lovely trip to Edinburgh but now want to book a nice long stay at Findhorn. Were you there, by any chance?
Hi Jenine, we were much further south but did visit Edinburgh on our return. I just looked up Findhorn and can see the appeal. Not precisely on the route, but it did remind me of a work colleague's suggestion that we should one day do the North Coast 500. It's always a challenge; there are many gorgeous places to visit, but time and money!
There are so many things in this wonderful essay to take away! The fact that we are indeed more at home being productive than sitting back and just being - enjoying nature - yet it is the later I think that has the larger capacity to help our mental and physical health and above all make us feel content. But before that can happen, we need to breathe slowly and open our eyes.
Thanks for sharing, Jesse. I love the Scottish Highlands. I lived in the highlands of Cameroon with the Peace Corps, and I love to visit the highlands of Marin above San Francisco. I spent a lot of time alone in the bush when I was younger, and I see that time unplugged from human activity and becoming intuned to the subtle energies of nature has greatly benefited my spiritual journey. Cheers
What a great read! Yesterday, I had a dream in which I met a stranger and when she told me her name was Maya, (which means illusion) I instantly said..aahhh the one thing that I am trying to get rid of. Jesse, your words so much resonated with me! I agree it is not easy to let go, the trap is old yet clever and powerful, but we are holding the key. Thank you for sharing this 🙏

TY, Diana completely agree, sometimes piling things in can be all too easy!

I hear ya. At my age, I’d book a ‘big’ trip yearly before it becomes too difficult to navigate travel, but $$$$
Sounds like a great plan and one I also try to subscribe to. Here's to 2025 travel.

Thank you, May, and thank you to you and Diana and KTHT for accepting and providing a home for my essay. 🙏
