I love the idea that discomfort isn't always something to push through, but a compass. That is just gold. Such a sweet and brave thing to share how you found your way out.
Thank you so much, Diana - I appreciate your thoughtful comment. It took me a long time to see discomfort as a direction, not just something to endure. So I'm grateful it resonated.🤎
You've beautifully described what I've gone through this past year--to finally heed that persistent nudge to leave my current job and pivot to something new. I think I've found a place that aligns better with who I am and what I need. I wish the same for you!
Thank you so much for sharing this. It means a lot to know the piece resonated with your own experience. This piece is showing me that this experience is way too common. That persistent nudge can be so hard to trust—but it sounds like you honored it beautifully. I’m glad you’ve found a space that feels more aligned with who you are. Wishing you continued peace in this new chapter, and thank you for the kind wishes. 🤎🙏🏾
Thank you so much for sharing. Hearing that it resonated reminds me why I chose to share it in the first place. We don’t always get to know who’s quietly carrying similar stories, but I’m so grateful this one found you. 🤎
Toxic people are everywhere. Would you believe the same thing happened to me when I worked in a charity created to help people? I liked the corporate world, but I left after many years because I wanted to do something more aligned with my values. I landed at a charity I loved with a great boss. After nine years, she left and was replaced by a toxic person. One by one, she took great pleasure in manipulating and misleading the staff until they got sick or left. I stood my ground for a while, but then realized it wasn't worth my time or energy. I went to work at another charity with a kind, generous founder, and I never looked back.
Thank you for sharing this so openly. It’s heartbreaking how often these dynamics show up. Your story is a powerful reminder that alignment isn’t just about mission, but about leadership and culture too. I’m happy you found your way to a place that honors your values and energy. 🤎
Listening to that inner voice can be so hard, but it’s always necessary. Wishing you all the best on your path ahead
It's not easy, especially when you have to decipher it through the noise. Thank you🤎
